Cumulis Congestus with a Lenticular on top
I could not resist taking a picture of these clouds while standing by the coach. That is one wonderful thing about Colorado. You can see the tops of storm clouds from many miles away. These were actually dropping rain and golf ball sized hail in the northeastern part of the state. We were only having light wind. Then the wind increased here. I would estimate, after 15 years of weather spotter volunteer work, that the wind is now blowing at about 30 mph with gusts to about 40 mph. We are out in the middle of the country with nothing to block the wind. We are really feeling it in here tonight. This area needs rain, not drying wind. There's a chance we will have a rain/snow mix tomorrow afternoon and into Monday. Then, perhaps not. But it will be quite a bit cooler. We are sure hoping the wind blows this on out of here and we can have a restful, peaceful day tomorrow. I wish the same for you.
