Still here!-October 29, 2012

We are "enjoying" the far outer bands of Hurricane Sandy. The winds have been unbelievable. However, we are still here, thankfully. I feel sorry for the people north and/or east of us. We met friends from Mississippi today at the Roadkill Cafe ("You kill 'em, we'll grill 'em"). They have a great buffet and we enjoyed it very much. When you get ready to pay, you get to draw from a bag of chips. If you get a red chip, you get your meal free. All other chips are white. We paid for our meals! We didn't mind at all. It's a fun place and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with our friends. On the way there we saw that the soybean field next to this park is being harvested and just a few feet down the road the machines are shaking the pecan trees to get the pecans to drop to the ground for harvest. We are really enjoying watching all of this.
