I failed to tell you about the tornado damage we saw today. It was in a part of Birmingham known as Cahaba Heights. We were in the area of Rocky Ridge Road. We had not heard a word about it on TV. It was pretty extensive damage. All of the gigantic trees that were blown down have been chopped up and they are lying on the sides of the roads. Blue tarps abound. Brings back negative memories of life after Hurricane Ivan. In some places the electrical wires had been on the ground and someone (Power Co people?) had used ropes to tie them to trees just so cars could navigate the road. It was really sad. We rode through there in shock. I said a silent prayer for them as we drove through. It is a very nice section of town so hopefully they all have insurance to help them out. Sometimes I need a Divine slap in the face to know my life is not bad at all. In fact it's wonderful!
