Lyndon Johnson's boyhood home. This is on display in downtown Johnson City. Compated to Elvis' home which we saw not too long ago, this is a mansion.
Johnson City hall. Almost all downtown buildings are made of limestone mined from local quarries. We were stunned at the number of limestone quarries as well as the size of them. A large number of houses are also built of the local limestone.
Miller Creek. This park is located beside this creek which is large enough to be called a river. It appears calm but you can really hear the flow of the water. I bet in the summer when everything is green this is a really pretty sight. It's not bad with everything wearing winter brown.
