What a NIght-January 9, 2013
After an unbelievable night and only two hours of sleep, we are not doing anything special today. We may, for the first time in our lives, actually take a nap. Our electricity went off last night at 10:20. The storm raged outside and it got cold and damp inside. The office does not open until 10:00 AM so we were without power for a very long time. We can run off of a genertor but all parks do not allow a generator running at night. Too noisy. The camp worker came by and found that our 50 amp breaker, along with the 30 amp breaker on the same electrical box, were blown probably from overheating. They were still warm to the touch this morning. So, the electrical box has all new parts and we are up and running fine now. We were probably very fortunate that the breaker blew when it did though it was in the middle of the storm. The noise from the storm and the lack of power made us very uncomfortable. Therefore we paced the floor and sat in the dark. We did use our iPhones for a while to check on the news and weather. It is still overcast today so we will wait to leave until the sun comes out tomorrow. Sunshine makes a difference in many ways. So, if you have sunshine today, enjoy it and be grateful.
