I hesitate to say anything about the wind because so many people are far worse off than we are, but the wind has been unbelievable. It makes sleep next to impossible. We were here about this time last year and the wind was not an issue at all that we can remember. But we won't forget what this year has bestowed upon us. Our time is growing short so we are trying to see everything we have enjoyed one more time. I think I forgot to post one picture from New York New York.
Just inside the entrance is a Statue of Liberty. Not unusual, however, this one is made of jelly beans.
I would not want to guess how many jelly beans it took to build this statue. It is very unique and interesting. Her sash says "It's sugar". In the picture in the background, the girl has a guitar made of jelly beans also. Knowing the nasty germs probably growing on this work of art kept me from wanting to buy any jelly beans.
We have high hopes the wind will let up a bit tomorrow, however, it's a double edge sword. When the wind stops the temps go to the mid 90s. And that we don't like. So perhaps we should just be content with whatever comes our way.
