The wind was as bad today as predicted so we hunkered down. It is calming down now and we will be ready to go tomorrow. Jerry said he just could not drive over that high-in-the-sky bridge by Hoover Dam with a high profile vehicle warning in place. We'll be ready to go for sure in the morning.
We have had such a wonderful time here. As much as Las Vegas has going against it, it has more going for it. When you see the lights of the city at night it makes you feel that all is right with the world. It is as unique an experience as is Rapid City, SD. Both cities are nothing alike but they make one feel like there's no greater place in the country to be. Las Vegas is alive, constantly changing and never gets complacent. If it were not for the weather, this could easily be home. The thought of trying to exist in 115° temps is not bearable.
So, with happy thoughts, we will head for Colorado tomorrow. Should arrive toward the end of the week.
