Comfortable-June 28, 2016

Don't you wish you had the time to curl up in a comfortable
chair and watch television with no distractions?
Hannah was so relaxed and happy.

Another shared picture-June 25, 2016

I simply must share another picture from my niece, Jadah.

Isn't this pretty? She has quite an eye for beauty
in nature. You can tell this is in the South by
the big trees. But they are an afterthought to the
setting sun and rays. We did not discover until
recently that we both like cloud pictures. Maybe
it's in our genes!

Gifts from WinStar-June 23, 2016

I have been meaning to post these cute toys we bought while we were at WinStar. Jerry spotted them in one of the gift shops and there was no way he was leaving without these.

The blue Pegasus on the right was named Rainbow Dash by Ty
Products. The purple unicorn on the left was named Twilight Sparkle.
Hannah renamed them Rainbow and Sparkle. We thought the girls
would fight over them but they did not. Zoey has not cared for them.
So Hannah takes care of both of them.

Then this week while grocery shopping we found tiny little ones like the big ones.
Same names, just different sizes.
These are so cute. Wish I was a whole lot younger!

We kept both girls today. In the middle of playing Hannah insisted we had to go shopping at the toy store because she saw a "cat with a red tail and a bracelet on its head" that her mother would not buy for her. I asked both parents what she was talking about? Nobody knew. So, we took off for WalMart which is about the only place around here with plush animals. We did not find the cat she wanted so they both had to settle for black and white cats that walk and meow. They are cute and Hannah seemed acceptable of the fact the cat she wanted was not there.

When we got back home and had lunch the girls found out that Granddaddy makes a good horse.

Guess who needed a nap the most out of these three?

What treasured times these are.

Another one-June 20, 2016

Today was our day for the butterfly.
This one appeared in our yard much to our surprise and lingered
here for over half an hour before it flew away. Say what you want or
believe what you want to believe but this creature gave me goose bumps.

This was such an unusual sight for here that when a photographer came to take pictures of the house behind us (we think it is going to go up for sale) he actually stopped and looked at the butterfly. He watched it for several minutes. Men don't normally do that so it was fun to observe him enjoying the pretty butterfly. We weren't spying. It just caught our eye because the house has been vacant for a couple of weeks and to see a man walking in the back yard was quite out of the norm. So the butterfly added beauty not just to our day.

Beauty in Nature-June 15, 2016

My niece, Jadah, took this picture. Isn't it just stunning?
Jadah lives in Birmingham. Butterflies only stay where the air is clean. I
can remember when Birmingham had such nasty air so it is great for me to
see this beautiful butterfly there now.

My Mother loved butterflies. I have always loved them, too. Some might say Mother was speaking to Jadah, her special granddaughter, through this creature. Who knows? I just know that this is God's handiwork at its best. He gave it to us to enjoy and appreciate. And I do.

Still here-June 10, 2016

Yes, we're still here.

We decided to make a quick trip to one of our all time favorite places, WinStar in Thackerville, OK. We hopped in Brute and took off. Had a great drive. Every time we are there I try my best to take some good pictures and they just don't seem to work out. I am going to post what I took this trip.

This gigantic stainless steel structure is at the front of the hotel.
This was taken from the inside looking out. It's very special.

This is etched on glass. And it is huge.

This golden lion is gigantic and I think he is regal.

More etched glass. Very, very pretty.

We had such a great time. Wish we could go more often.

We had a really good time with Brute. It is way smarter than we are. So as Jerry was driving I was reading the 500 page owner's manual. If the driver veers to the right the steering wheel vibrates. And if the driver veers to the left chimes go off and a message tells the driver to take a break and get a cup of coffee! We laughed like we were on laughing gas on that one. I finally learned how to make the radio work though it is not called a radio. It is an entertainment center. The seats can be set to massage, not vibrate. I tried it first and was laughing my head off until I realized it was really making me relax. We used that a lot on the way back, probably because we were not ready to leave more than any other reason. But they do feel fabulous. We think we will have this thing figured out by the time it's out of warranty. We're so happy we made the trade.

We bought Hannah and Zoey each a gift at WinStar which I will post as soon as I can.

Birthday-June 2, 2016

We celebrated Zoey's second birthday on Sunday. She was not quite sure what was going on but she had so much fun it really didn't matter. Hannah kept telling Zoey to open her gifts and that was only so that Hannah could play with them.

Hannah was telling Zoey to hurry up and get it open.

A cute and tasty birthday cake. The pink bear is because Zoey's
favorite bedtime toy is a little pink bear.

On Wednesday Jerry, Judy and I went for a ride in Brute to the mountains. What a beautiful day to be there. We really had a great time.

There's still a lot of snow in the mountains.

This is Clear Creek, aptly named. Usually it's just a trickle.
It was great to see this much water in it.

We will be babysitting all day tomorrow and Saturday afternoon. It is supposed to be really hot, so we will probably go outside and play. Maybe there will be some fun pictures to share.
