Together time-January 29, 2016

I generally do not want pictures of myself posted on this blog. I consider it to be arrogant. However, yesterday Hannah, Zoey and I shared a very special moment I wanted to share with you.

We shared time reading "Everybody Loves Butterflies".
And we reviewed Mother Goose volume 3 in fabric form.
What a wonderful time. I will never forget it. I can only
hope the girls will one day remember it, too.

Before we settled down to read we got two huge sets of Dominoes out of storage in the garage and built roads all over the living room. Then we took the tiny trains that come with the Dominoes and "drove" them all over the tracks. That meant we were on hands and knees. We are paying the price today but it was fun yesterday.

Big Dog was one of the stops along our route. The most
challenging thing was separating the sets of Dominoes
and getting them in the correct container after the girls left.
Oh well, we had fun.

A horse-January 21, 2017

Christmas was such bedlam that we did not give the girls all of their gifts. We hid a rocking horse. And that is not the correct word for this horse. When I was little they were called rocking horses.

This is Blaze. He makes different galloping or trotting sounds
depending on how fast the rider is pushing him. He whinnies and
nays. See the carrot on the stand. Put that in his mouth and he makes
chewing sounds. If the rider goes fast enough somebody hollers
"Yee haw!". Zoey loves that and will copy the sound.

Hannah has no leg muscles so she can only last a couple of minutes.

Zoey may only be 2 years old, but from the moment she saw Blaze,
she was quite at home. She put her foot in the stirrup and slung her leg
over the back. And off she can went. She can ride for a very long time
without tiring. The first time she rode Blaze she dismounted and patted
him on the back and said "My horse".

We are so glad we waited until now to give the girls this part of their Christmas. They enjoyed it more. We will remember this in the future.

These crazy girls-January 14, 2017

I wanted to share a picture of our little "angels" which I did not take. When I first saw it I thought it was sweet. It was sent to my phone so the details did not jump out at me.

Upon closer examination I saw Zoey's face and I knew it was funny. But when I enlarged it I could not contain my laughter.

This little stinker is so funny all the time but she outdid herself with
this face. I guess this is part of the terrible two's. You may put your
own caption on this one!

A few pictures-January 6, 2017

Where is the time going?

Thankfully we have a cold, snowy day so I have time to post a few pictures. Not my best work, but when everybody is moving constantly it's hard to take pictures. I'd probably be better off trying to make movies.

Daisy, 3 months old

Zoey, 2 1/2 years old
Wonder why she has such a guilty look?

Hannah, 4 1/2 years old
We have lost count on how many plush cats these girls have now.

The above pictures are the only reason we are trying to tolerate this cold, snowy weather.
They make life worth living.
