Smoke-September 6, 2017

We made a trip to Cheyenne yesterday for lunch and some shopping. It's hard to call it a trip when it is so much closer and more pleasant than going to Denver for lunch. We have had smoke from Northwest fires for days. We have not seen the mountains is quite a while. As we drove to Cheyenne we realized it was getting worse the farther north we went. And the smell was much more intense than it is here.

Normally the Rocky Mountains are visible here.

Smoke covers everything.

I realize we are blessed we are only getting the smoke and not dealing with what Montana is facing right now, but still it is hard to breath and our eyes are watering. We are praying for all the fire fighters, the people who are affected by the fires and for the animals being run out of their homes in the forest. I just heard that over half a million acres have burned in Montana. And Glacier National Park is under seize by flames. Glacier is one of America's treasures.
