I volunteered to be the cook tonight. Derrick cooked last night. So we had fresh veggies from his garden. We had silver queen corn, green beans and okra plus southern fried chicken. It was so good and it had to be a treat for Derrick not to have to cook a meal. I don't have room to do that kind of cooking anymore so in reality, it was a treat for me, too. The sky was completely white with smoke
today. It's odd to know that there is a beautiful blue sky and mountains behind that smoke but no way to see it. I'm not even sure there's any hope for it to clear any time soon. No way we are going to the mountains right now. If you want some good veggies, stop by!
