Tuscon, AZ-February 5, 2013
It was a day of firsts for us. When we were ready to leave this morning, the coach was as dead as a doornail. That was a first. It is possible to use a button on the dash to jump start the coach batteries off of the household batteries. It worked. We headed west on I-10 to Tuscon which was the first time we have been this far. Not far out of Benson we saw our first Saguaro cacti (is that really the plural of cactus?). We made it to the park, checked in and hooked up. Then we headed to a Tiffin dealer. Our first time to deal with this dealer. Jerry asked for a service tech. A man turned around and said "You asked for me?". It was instantaneous, a first in a huge dealership. He suggested what we can do. Not a big deal. Then we were invited to eat a free meal in their dining room. Another first. Who goes to a coach dealership and is offered a free meal? It was chicken enchiladas, salad and hot out of the oven gigantic cookies. It was all wonderful. Then we decided to look around and ended up being put in touch with a nice salesman. Trust me on this, it was a first. So many big dealerships do not have nice, humble people working for them. So many are arrogant or just plain dumb or rude. Bob was fun. They are having an RV show here starting on Thursday so we are going there to look at coaches. And unleaded gas for the Cute Red Vehicle is below $3 a gallon. I think that's a first, too! We're tired. I suspect we will sleep well tonight and pray that the problem with the coach was just a fluke and we won't be bothered again. By the way, the color of the day here is BROWN! Everything is brown except the cactus.
