We are safe and only received rain and wind and thunder while the rest of the state was bombarded with huge hail stones and tornadoes. What a mess these storms have been. They are supposedly going to hang around at least through tomorrow. The good part is that it is cool and we can leave all of our windows open.

 

 Now for the story behind the sign. Severance, Colorado is a little town very close to us. It is world famous for Bruce's Bar which serves more Rocky Mountain oysters than any place else in the world. If you do not know what Rocky Mountain oysters are, google it. Or take my word for it, oysters are what distinguish a steer from a bull. This restaurant batters and fries them and serves tons of them. Jerry likes them and mentioned today he wants to eat there soon. I have not brought myself to the point I can taste them yet. I will just order something else.

 

Severance is also known in this part of the country for their excellent goose hunting. I don't do that either. But this hopefully explains the statement on the sign, where the geese fly and the bulls cry. Severance is really a neat little town. If we drive west we drive through Severance every time.
