Columbus, Montana-June 30, 2012

Columbus is west of Billings. It is a tiny little town with not much going on. However, there are many locations around here that are going to be fun to visit. They're all in the Absaroka Mountain range. The highest peak in Montana is in these mountains. Granite Peak is 12,799 feet high. That's not really so high but it still has snow on it. Cute Red Vehicle was so dirty the couple next door came over to look at it. So, as soon as we had everything connected we went to wash it. When we drove in, we yelled at them to come look at our clean car. They are a young couple from Tennessee. I am making a big assumption here that they must be trust fund babies because as young as they are (estimate 35-42 years of age) they travel 6 months a year and spend the other 6 in Tennessee. Money or not, they are really nice and we have enjoyed talking to them. News of the Colorado fires seems better today. There are about 8 fires burning in Montana. We saw lots of smoke today but there's none here in Columbus. Tomorrow is Sunday and as always, we will try to rest and take the day off. I hope you enjoy your day, too.
