Question answered-June 12, 2012

Remember we went into a restaurant last night with a name on it and when we came out the name was gone. I stumbled upon the answer today on the City of Sturgis website. The name Easyriders is the name of a long standing magazine and apparel business. So, this restaurant, no doubt, received a cease and desist order from the magazine. The City website said the restaurant remains open with no name until the litigation is settled. I can tell you who will win...........the first one to use the name. They can come up with another clever name here and keep on serving that great food. I wanted to mention two unrelated things. 1) No eating establishment here is actually called a restaurant. They are a "bar and grill" or they are a "saloon". We've not seen a "restaurant" since we left Nebraska. Just goes with the territory I guess. 2) Pine beetles are killing thousands of beautiful trees in this state, especially around Rapid City. There are places where people are trying to clear them and pile them up to burn this winter. But for now, if they have a fire, it is going to be like that fire in Colorado. Ok, those are my thoughts for now. Oh, we walked all of downtown today. Our legs are tired.
