Around the neighborhood-February 4, 2014

Guess what this is? It's SUNRISE! Sunrise over Wickenburg,
taken out of our front window. It was so calm and quiet. Beautiful!

We went across the street to take a picture of their house and our "house".
They have a beautiful home.

The previous picture was taken from this home. Arco De Oro means
pot of gold. The owner of this home owns 9 McDonald's in Alabama.
Small world, isn't it?

C.H. and Mary Lou have bought the house across the street
and are remodeling it to put back on the market.
Here is the view from that house. It is just breathtaking.
We'd be glad to live here if they would like to gift us the house!

The focal point of their front yard is an ore cart they brought
here from Colorado (C.H. says that cart is very heavy)
A front yard with no grass to mow or fertilize is a
wonderful idea to us.

After a wonderful breakfast cooked by Mary Lou, we headed to downtown Wickenburg. It is a really nice little town. We shopped a little and then drove around and looked. By the way, breakfast was biscuits, scrambled eggs with sausage, potatoes and avocado with tomatoes. Add great coffee and we were very happy campers. It was fabulous food. She is an excellent cook.

A tribute to Henry Wickenburg who founded this town.
He owned the Vulture Mine. He was another of those visionaries
who made our country what it is today.

Now we are all going to get ready to go eat Mexican food. You know we love that.
