Lunch and Art Show-March 1, 2013

Oh my, we are already into March. At the rate we are flying through this year, Christmas is just around the corner. We met Colorado friends, C.H. and Mary Lou, at the Horny Toad restaurant in Cave Creek for lunch today. Tasty lunch and fun time. Then they went shopping and we went to a juried Art Show in downtown Carefree. The art work on display was absolutely beautiful. There were several pieces I could have enjoyed had we still lived in a stick house, but no room in this coach. On the way out I took a picture of houses built on the side of the mountain in Cave Creek. Lots of places have houses built on mountain sides but the sheer volume of saguaro cacti, in my opinion, makes this unique. Saguaro only grow in the Sonoran desert.

The sticks are saguaro cacti. It looks like someone threw green darts all over the mountain.
The houses are quite nice.

It was 80° today and very pleasant. We enjoyed the company, the lunch and the art show.
