Time Change-March 7, 2013
We have had to put much thought into how the time change on Sunday will affect us. Arizona does not recognize Daylight Savings Time and that is wonderful. That puts us in the Mountain Time Zone. It makes life seem normal. Almost everything we will do in this area will be done in Laughlin, NV. They are on Pacific time. On Sunday we will technically be on Pacific time, Colorado will be one hour later and Alabama will be two hours later. This will affect all television we watch except the local news. They post times that will be three hours later than we will be. Good grief. I do have great sympathy for people who live in Bullhead City and drive across the bridge to work in Laughlin or people who live in Laughlin and drive over here to Bullhead City to work. It must be an adjustment to say the least. By the way, we had lunch on the Lake Mohave Indian Reservation today. We had the buffet and it cost us $4.32 each. It was well worth that. We were absolutely shocked at the large number of old people who were eating in the restaurant. (Read that with humor please). We were just lost in a sea of senior people and they had no problem using their elbows to get to the food they wanted. Reminded us of the snowbirds on the coast. We were happy to be out of there when we got our fill. We will seek other places for lunch in the future. Yesterday we ate at Black Bear Diner. It was excellent and there were mainly only locals there. Life is interesting.
