Boulder City-March 7, 2014

Today, we went in the opposite direction from yesterday. Headed south to Boulder City. It's a great little town, very clean and everybody is friendly. We had heard about The Pit Stop, a long time lunch stop that serves food in a hurry. They are thorough and efficient. It was not elegant in any way, but it is another local's place which normally means really good food. We enjoyed every bite. Afterwards, we walked through town. There are lots of unique shops owned by local people. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed the walk. Boulder City is a lot like Loveland, Colorado and Rapid City, South Dakota. They specialize in bronze statues on each corner.

This one is entitled "Kissed". It was donated to the city.

This one is entitled "Eggcited" and is for sale for a mere $9375.00.

BlogSpot won't let me post the rest of the pictures. Shame on them. After we had been in one store and made a small purchase, we went to put the item in the Cute Red Vehicle and were approached by a lady in leathers. She said they (two couples) had rented Harleys in Las Vegas and one of them was dead. Did we have jumper cables? Since we use the Cute thing as a truck, yes we had jumper cables. So they tried to jump it from the other Harley. That did not work, so Jerry helped them jump it from our car. It worked and they were so happy to be on their way. They were going to try to see the Valley of Fire today but we think they did not have time. That would be a bummer to rent a vehicle and have it die on you when you stopped for lunch.

It was another fun day which allowed us to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Hot weather is headed our way. We may have to knuckle down and do housework tomorrow. And wash clothes. I am so excited.

Please allow me to remind you of the time change this weekend. Spring forward!
