Police and Sunset-December 19, 2013

As you know we have had all sorts of City of Hoover vehicles in the parking lot seemingly doing some kind of maneuvers. This is what we had today.

Time for the city Police to do their stop and go routines. It appeared that they were being timed, too.
These vehicles are not cheap and at one time there were a dozen of them in line. I wonder where the money comes from? That's rhetorical. We all know.

My dear friend, Susie, whom I have known since we both started working for Ma Bell as teenagers met us for lunch today. It was so good to see her. However, it is annoying that she is not aging. Good genes, apparently. We had a little time to visit and try to get caught up. In this case it is great to have iPhones so we can share so many pictures with each other.

We have had a very busy day so it went by very quickly. It was another beautiful day. We are sorry the nice weather is going away as storms move in this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to step outside the coach and see beautiful clouds all around us, not just in the west with the setting sun. You know how I love sunsets so if you don't want to see more pictures of such, make your exit now!

It almost looks like it's raining fire. Some more of God's handiwork.

This big orange cotton ball of a cloud was drifting all by itself. Loved it!

Reminds me of the Northern Lights.

As we put this day away, we are reminded to be grateful for all we have and for the beauty that surrounds us. All we have to do is open our eyes.
