We're Here!-May 30, 2013

This greeted us when we stepped outside the coach this morning. Those are the Greenhorn Mountains. It's a gorgeous view to start the day. Never mind that building in the foreground. It has something to do with this park, but not sure the purpose.

The wind today was almost as bad as we have ever driven in. In Pueblo it was just plain nasty with blowing dirt, not wind, it was dirt.

This is what blanketed Pueblo. Once we got through the dirt, we
felt better but the wind did not decrease at all. It intensified.

This is north of Monument which is north of Denver. Isn't that peaceful?

The snow capped mountain is Pikes Peak. In spite of the wind we felt more at ease when we saw
this. It was our first glimpse of it today. Disregard the Wrong Way sign. We were on the right side.

We are extremely glad to be here. The wind has laid down a bit tonight. Little Hannah has just captured our hearts. I'll post pictures of her later.

A dear friend of 30+ years passed away on Monday. I knew we were close but could not get here for her funeral. For some reason the funeral was delayed and will be tomorrow so we can go. I am sad to be going to her funeral but also glad I can be there. Does that make sense? So, our first full day here will be busy. I would have it no other way. There will be lots to post in the days ahead.
