Wynn and Encore-May 6, 2013

Today's trip to the Encore and Wynn resorts was so much fun. They are almost identical buildings built by Steve Wynn. They are so pretty on the outside I knew they would be pretty on the inside. But pretty is an understatement. It is so much fun to find these gorgeous buildings and to be able to walk around and get our exercise in such great surroundings.

This is just outside the entrance. So much water in the middle of the desert.

 

The secret to keeping the flowers so pretty is to leave them in pots.

Then if one looks sick they can just change out the pot without digging.

 

 

These round objects are clusters of rose buds. They are beautiful.

 

The title of this piece of art is "Tulips". They are stainless steel tulips covered with a think coat of colored lacquer. These were breathtaking. No picture can do justice to this artwork.

 

Weatherwise it was very windy today and mostly cloudy. We did not see a drop of rain but when we got home there were puddles everywhere. The guard said it poured buckets and buckets for an hour and 15 minutes. The pomegranate tree was so shiny and green when we drove in. And the temps have cooled down a bit. Heat returns this weekend.
